Mission Possible supports communities that want to play an active role in shaping the security and resilience of the places where they live – ensuring access to water, clean energy, a healthy environment, and a stable future. We believe that national resilience begins at the local level: in municipalities, villages, small towns, and regions that are often the first to experience the impacts of drought, rising energy costs, population decline, and environmental degradation.

We help residents understand the forces that shape their everyday lives and turn that understanding into meaningful action through public consultations, local strategies, civic engagement initiatives, education, and cooperation with local authorities and experts. Our goal is to empower people who want to be active participants in decision-making rather than passive recipients of decisions made by others.

Poland is among the European countries most vulnerable to water scarcity. Between 2015 and 2023, renewable freshwater resources per capita ranged from approximately 1,100 to 1,600 cubic metres annually – below the 1,700 cubic metre threshold that the United Nations considers the benchmark for water security. For this reason, local decisions concerning water retention, spatial planning, river protection, agriculture, and energy systems are not merely technical matters; they are fundamental to the long-term security and resilience of communities.
